U.S. Army Support Contractor, RDECOM – ManTech

Mr. Fiore supports the U.S. Army’s Manufacturing Technology (ManTech) program, managed by the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland. An employee of Universal Solutions International (USI), he is responsible for supporting the ManTech program’s efforts to identify, resource and manage key investment areas having greatest benefit to the Army.  This support includes recommending Army ManTech projects for execution, working with executing organizations to ensuring adequate funding to accomplish project objectives, and monitoring project progress. Prior to joining the ManTech PMO, Mr. Fiore was the former deputy director of the Defense Systems Information Analysis Center (DSIAC).

His 30+ years of industrial defense experience began at Martin Marietta where he performed basic research on the development of advanced infrared sensors and ceramic materials. Mr. Fiore then supported several NASA missions with the development of electro-optic, X-ray and gamma ray spacecraft instrumentation at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. He then accepted a position with Lockheed Martin as a lead systems engineer on the development and production of naval missile launching systems which led to a systems engineering management position at Orbital-ATK where he instilled systems engineering practices to improve the development and manufacture of energetic weapon systems.

Mr. Fiore is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Directed Energy Professional Society, and a former INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional. He received his BS in engineering science from Loyola University in Baltimore and his MS in electrical engineering from The Johns Hopkins University.
