Technical Director, Manufacturing and Industrial Technologies Division Air Force Research Laboratory
Dr. John D. Russell is the Technical Director of the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Manufacturing and Industrial Technologies Division. In this role, he is the Chief Technology Officer of the Air Force’s Manufacturing Technology (ManTech) program and is the principal advisor to the Manufacturing and Industrial Technologies Division Chief on all matters related to the technical strategy for the Air Force’s $265M per year program as well as the personnel and infrastructure required to execute that strategy. He has a Doctor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Washington University in St Louis. In 2011, Dr. Russell was inducted as a Fellow of the Society for the Advancement for Materials and Process Engineering (SAMPE).
